Third day washout at Scarborough

County Championship Div One, Scarborough, day three:
Yorkshire 133-7 v Sussex 265
No play Friday - rain

There was no play at Scarborough on Friday and the Yorkshire-Sussex game is now expected to peter out to a draw.

The North Marine Road ground was under water by mid-morning and umpires Jeremy Lloyds and Steve Garratt abandoned play for the day just after an early lunch.

With an ominous forecast for Saturday there may be no more play in the match.

Yorkshire are 132 behind Sussex at 133-7, 87 runs from their first batting point, and will have only two matches left to get out of the relegation zone.
