Settled side vital for Knights

York City Knights should name an unchanged side for Sunday's National League Two game against London Skolars.

Coach Paul March says the continuity has been the key to improving their form and going on a two-match winning run.

He told BBC Radio York: "That's massive. Obviously it's going to be the third week in a row where I can name the same team.

"The players are playing very well so I'm pleased with the way its going."

He added: "Moving Rob Spicer and Ryan Esders in to the centres stiffened the back line up and with bringing Adam Sullivan in, that stiffened the middle up and competition for places."

If we have to bring someone in we will do but at the minute the squad we've got is doing a job and we'll keep our faith in with them

With the Knights' form still improving March says they will not be looking to strengthen the squad at the moment.

He said: "I'm happy. Obviously when you're winning you don't pick any injuries up. It's when you're losing you start picking up niggling little injuries.

"Obviously Sully (Adam Sullivan), we've brought him in and it's lifted everybody in the squad. If we have to bring someone in we will do but at the minute the squad we've got is doing a job and we'll keep our faith in with them."

There has also been good news about loose forward David March who pulled a calf muscle in the game against Doncaster.

Paul March said: "David is back in training now. He's probably two weeks away. Not this Sunday but next Sunday hopefully.

"But we're not going to rush him back. If he's not 100% next Sunday we'll leave him out again. If he is 100% obviously he'll come straight back in and he'll give us that bit more direction and shape on the right hand side."

Meanwhile long term injury worries, captain Scott Rhodes and scrum half Danny Grimshaw are still involved with the club despite being ruled out for the rest of the season.

"Both are still training. Both are still committed to the club and they come down and help out where they can.

"Obviously they're both just waiting for surgery now and once they've had that it's probably a long recovery time but both will make pre-season and are looking forward to big years."
