March has been in good form recently |
York City Knights have confirmed that David March tore his calf muscle in Monday's defeat by Doncaster. The loose forward is expected to be out for two-to-three weeks depending on how he reacts to treatment. Coach Paul March told BBC Radio York: "Knowing him he'll want to be back after two weeks but we'll just keep a close check on him. "There's no point rushing him back when there are players that will come in and do a job for us." March said the likes of Mark Applegarth, David Leeke and Stephen Grundy will all come in to contention for Sunday's National League Two game at Swinton Lions. | If we can put a bit of a run together I'm sure we'll start climbing |
New signing Adam Sullivan will also be available after re-joining the club last week. The 25-year-old prop had played in France over the winter. March added: "He'll go straight in to the team for Sunday. I think he'll be looking forward to getting back out there. "Obviously he's played back-to-back rugby for the last year but he's had a couple of weeks rest now so hopefully he'll be raring to go." The Knights travel to Swinton looking for their second win of the season and March is confident. "We'll concentrate on what we've been doing and hopefully back-up the Blackpool and Doncaster games with another good performance. "We're just outside the top six at the minute after winning just one game. So if we can put a bit of a run together I'm sure we'll start climbing."
