Guernsey table-tennis star Alice Loveridge has won gold in the Junior and Cadet Six Nations games in Ireland.

Despite a disappointing set of results in the team events, the teenager beat the Irish number one Ashely Givan 3-0 in the semi-finals in the singles.

In the final, Loveridge was 10-8 down against Wales' Anghard Phillips but came back to clinch the title 12-8.

Elsewhere, Guernsey's Lawrence Stacey is through to the main draw following a 3-1 victory over Kev Hutchinson.
