Spearpoint Guernsey Women are through to the semi-finals of the HA Vase competition following their 3-2 victory over Reigate Priory.

Chloe Dawes opened the scoring for Spearpoint before Reigate equalised with a penalty flick soon after the half-time interval.

Guernsey then went 3-1 ahead with goals in quick succession from Dawes and Georgia Smith.

Reigate scored five minutes from time but Spearpoint held out for the win.

Spearpoint coach Dave Wray told BBC Guernsey: "We knew at half-time it was going to be a very close encounter.

"They put us under a lot of pressure, which we expected, and equalised.

"It was a bit nail-biting at the end, but some fantastic defensive work meant the final whistle came just in time," he added.
