Allberry led Guernsey to their first ever national final |
Guernsey hockey has suffered a blow with the loss of its development manager Ben Allberry. His biggest success was leading the island's men's side to victory in the England Hockey HA Trophy. He was in the post for a year and left after being offered a national league contract to play in the UK. Allberry said: "I've had a fantastic year not just from the hockey point of view but Guernsey as a whole, the people are fantastic." "I had such great support and encouragement and great success with the men's first team but across the board it's been one of the best experiences I've had," he added.
