Guernsey have claimed their first Inter-insular golf title since 2003 by beating Jersey on the final hole at L'Ancresse last weekend. Guernsey's last player Daniel Bisson, won his match on the 18th hole, giving the Sarnians victory over their fierce rivals by just a single game. Bisson's win meant Guernsey finished on 10.5 points, with Jersey on 9.5 points. Alan Mahy, president of the Guernsey Golf Union said: "I think it was the tightest finish we've ever had." Mahy told BBC Guernsey: "There was some big victories for Guernsey players and Jersey players but in the end it came down to one match. "It came down to the last hole and Daniel Bisson managed to secure the win that we required."
