Guernsey's table tennis team heads off to England

Guernsey's table tennis team will be in England on Sunday competing in rounds seven and eight of the South & Midlands Senior British League.

Guernsey's first team, who are currently fifth in Division One, have games against second-placed Impact and fourth-placed Brighton City.

Captain Phil Ogier said: "Brighton have a new first string player who has won all bar one of his matches so far.

"So they are likely to be stronger than the last time we played them."

Ogier added: "Impact have strength and depth with all capable players so we are expecting tough matches all round."

The second team, who are in Division Four, will be also be competing on Sunday.

The first team's games will be played in Slough, whilst the second team are at London Progress in Southall.


Guernsey 1: Phil Ogier, Gary Dodd, Olly Langlois, Adam Langlois

Guernsey 2: Liam Robilliard, Jeremy Powell, Dawn Morgan and Martin Sarre.
