 Pavoni swam a personal best time to retain his title |
Shenfield swimmer Roberto Pavoni has retained his European Junior 400 Individual Medley title in Prague. The 18-year-old edged out Hungarian Gergely Gyurta by three-tenths of a second to mirror his win at the Championships in Belgrade last year. The Essex swimmer's personal best time of 4.17.27 broke the British age-group record as well as the senior Eastern Region and county bests. He also finished fifth in the 200m butterfly at the Championships.
