Guernsey's Chris Simpson has won a place in the last four of the PSA World Tour squash event in Canada.

The top seed beat fellow Briton Lewis Walters 11-7 9-11 11-5 11-8 to set up an all-English semi-final against Joe Lee, the third seed, on Sunday.

The 23-year-old said: "It was a scrappy match and I didn't feel I played my best, sometimes you have to win ugly."

He said of the semi-final: "It will be a very tough match so I am looking forward to it."

Jan Koukal, the Czech Republic number one and tournament second seed, stands in the way of an all-British final as his faces James Snell from England in the other semi-final.

Simpson has faced all English players so far, beating Alex Ingham 11-3 11-7 11-5 in the first round.
