Desperques defeated Adam Shorto in all the previous finals |
Martyn Desperques has been crowned Guernsey's Individual Snooker League champion for the fourth time at the Gremlin Club on Saturday. Desperques scored a comprehensive 5-1 victory over first-time finalist Paul Le Sauvage. He has won the competition since it started in 2008 and is therefore the only name on the Peter Colley Shield. During the match Desperques produced a brilliant 112 clearance after picking off 12 of the reds. It followed his victory in the opening two frames to take him 3-0 ahead. Le Sauvage won the final frame before the interval, but less than an hour after the resumption Desperques had taken the two frames he needed.
