Steve Davis was in Guernsey to attend the charity event

Guernsey snooker player John Skillet has described beating six-time world champion Steve Davis as "amazing".

Skillet and fellow island player Adam Shorto won their respective frames when they played Davis at a charity event in Guernsey on Tuesday.

"It was amazing. I scraped a win against him somehow. I think he must have felt sorry for me or something," said Skillet.

"I managed to finish the frame strongly and was delighted by that."
