Guernsey's snooker team have finished sixth at the 2009 Home Internationals in Prestatyn, North Wales. After losing their first five matches, the Sarnians found form against the Isle of Man and old rivals Jersey on the final day of competition. Guernsey beat the Isle of Man by 12-6, with three frames each for Martyn Desperques and captain Adam Shorto. Jersey proved tougher opposition, with only two frames separating the sides as Guernsey edged to a 10-8 victory. Glenn Le Prevost and Shorto both three frames for the Sarnians, with Darren Hughes picking up two wins.
