Desperques won the 2009 Guernsey Snooker Championship

Seven of Guernsey's top snooker players will be in action from Saturday at the Home Internationals in Prestatyn.

The team will be captained by Adam Shorto and includes experienced players Martyn Desperques, Glenn Le Prevost, John Skillett and Jez Rowe.

There are also two new faces in the squad with Darren Hughes and Jess De La Haye both set to make their debuts.

Guernsey's first game is against England on Saturday, 5 September, starting at 1030 BST.

After the England match, Guernsey will face Scotland, Wales and two Irish sides, before renewing old rivalries against Jersey and the Isle of Man at the event in North Wales.
