Mark Allen got off to the perfect start in Poland
Mark Allen enjoyed a superb start to his bid to retain the European Championship title in Poland.

The Antrim player won his first two matches by a 4-0 scoreline against opponents from Austria and Poland and fired in breaks of 136 and 80.

Belfast's Sean Gray recorded a 4-1 win over a Romanian and a 4-2 victory against a Polish opponent.

Armagh's David Hawthorne and Portadown's Martin O'Neill have both won one match and lost one.
