Jersey's David Ward is hoping to make it to 60 medals in his 60th year.

Jersey shooter David Ward has won the 59th medal of his Island Games career on the range in Aland.

Along with team mate Michael Quenault, Ward claimed bronze in the 10 metre Air Pistol event.

Ward, who acted as Jersey's flag-bearer in the opening ceremony of the 2009 Games is hoping to reach his 60th medal in his 60th year.

The Jersey pairing were narrowly beaten to silver and gold by teams from Aland and Gotland by just one point.
