Mkoloma will join ANZ Championship side Sydney Swifts in February

So the new year started with snow and a windfall of Superleague game cancellations. Not great.

But do you all know what brought a smile to my face? Seeing Surrey Storm sitting at the top of the Superleague table.

What a start to the season, with a great bunch of girls coming together to form a cohesive unit.

I am so pleased with the way in which the squad is coming together and after beating Hertfordshire Mavericks for our fourth successive win, we play reigning champions Team Bath plus Team Northumbria in the same week. Bring it on and make sure you come and watch.

Now the Australian Test series is on the horizon, netball is go! It's great, especially for all the London fans, who will get to watch our final Test at the O2 Arena.

You'll get to see the best of British on the netball court, and we are looking and playing on form.

We will be playing the number one team in the world in Liverpool, Nottingham and London and, with the end of the Fast Net world netball series and the start of Superleague, personal preparations for the Aussie Tests have been non-stop.

Every session we take a step closer to what is needed to beat Australia on the netball court. Ball skills, unit work and positional analysis is ongoing and is so important to all the girls.

At the end of February, Geva Mentor and I once again are off to play in the ANZ Championships - one of the biggest netball tournaments in the world, with the best of Australia and New Zealand competing against each other in a professional league.

This year, I will be representing the Sydney Swifts alongside Australian players Catherine Cox, Susan Pratley, Kimberlee Green and Rebecca Bulley.

But, until then, it's Storm all the way.
