Well guys, 2008 has been a long and great netballing year for me to say the least. Being named co-captain for the England team was certainly the best part. It was definitely an honour to work alongside Karen Atkinson on our tour to Australia and New Zealand in October. This tour saw me and the England girls run Australia close in two Test matches and beat New Zealand in one out of three Tests. I think the most important lesson we all learned from our tour was that we have more than enough depth to beat these world class teams and need to punch out consistent individual world class performances in order to do it. I hope you all have been following the Co-operative Netball Superleague games on Sky Sports and have been able to get down to the venues and arenas to watch your local Superleague team compete in some of the most closely run netball matches yet. As the Co-operative season approaches its half way mark, my team the Brunel Hurricanes have been coming up with some great wins, with the team being led by Becky Nash. Becky has been able to not only put out consistent superb performances on the court but also inspire myself and the rest of the girls to dig deep and win games when we were on the back foot. So far we are sitting at the top end of the table and enjoying it! So watch out and keep the support coming in. Before I sign out I would also like to wish everyone happy holidays and I know we are all hoping for snow, well I am! So fingers crossed. Don't forget you can ask me any netball related questions you like so if you need some tips or just want to ask me something, drop me a line here at BBC Sport and I will do my best to answer them! X
