Maslovskis featured in 21 games for the Tigers

Telford Tigers have released Latvian forward Andrejs Maslovskis with immediate effect.

The 26-year-old joined the Premier League side in June after a spell playing with Ask Ogre Belarus.

Player-coach Tom Watkins said: "Andrejs is a hard worker and well liked but we have struggled to find the right line mates to get the best out of him.

"We would like to thank Andrejs for his contribution to the Tigers and wish him every success for the future."

He added; "We also believe that releasing Andrejs now gives him plenty of time to look for a new team where his undoubted skills will fit better."

Maslovskis, who was suggested to Watkins by Basingstoke's import Mindaugas Kieras, praised the Tigers fans.

"I got a good break with the team and I really like the fans - at every game they support us so well.

"I want to wish good luck to the team and hope they make the play-offs."
