Graham Turner plans Shrewsbury changes in holiday games

Graham Turner is planning to use squad rotation over the holiday period to keep Shrewsbury Town's players fresh and on track for promotion.

"Four games in nine days is a tough challenge for the 'energetic' positions - wide players, midfielders, strikers," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"I can see we'll make changes to keep people lively."

Shrewsbury - currently fifth in League Two - play Bury, Lincoln, Burton and Crewe over the holiday period.

"That's a heavy programme, and we've got to be on our toes," Turner added.

Town have been frustrated by the weather in December, playing only once when they were held 1-1 by Cheltenham.

Manchester City's on-loan midfielder Andrew Tutte has had treatment on a back injury but Turner hopes he will have recovered in time to be available during the holiday period.
