Manchester Phoenix ended a three game losing streak by beating Peterborough Phantoms 4-2 in the Premier League. Two goals from Tony Hand and goals from Tom Duggan and Marcus Kristoffersson gave Phoenix a comfortable win. On Saturday night they had lost top spot in the league after losing 5-1 to Guildford Flames, who moved above them. Player-coach Tony Hand said: "It was tight game but our character showed through and we'll use this to get our title challenge back on track." He added: "That was a win we sorely needed. Confidence has taken a bit of a knock over the last couple of weeks, and I was delighted for the guys. "We still looked nervous in front of goal at times, but that will ease as we get back into our stride."
