Manchester Phoenix remain top of the Premier League after beating Sheffield and Telford at the weekend. Goals from Marcus Kristofferson, Curtis Huppe, James Archer and Ben Wood gave the Phoenix a 4-2 win over the Steeldogs on Saturday. The side then recorded an impressive 8-2 win at Telford Tigers on Sunday. Player-coach Tony Hand told the club website: "Things are really starting to come together now and goals are coming from everywhere." Next weekend Phoenix face a double header against second placed Guilford and Hand is looking forward to the games. Hand added: "We will not underestimate the importance of next weekend's games, but there will still be plenty of games to play after that, and nothing will be decided. "That said, I know everyone will be ready for a tempestuous weekend of hockey, and the atmosphere in the Dome next weekend will be electric."
