Newcastle Vipers have re-signed forward Dean Holland after Manchester Phoenix agreed to release him.

The 22-year-old was Phoenix's first signing of the summer but he has returned to Newcastle after finding it difficult to settle in the area.

Phoenix player-coach Tony Hand said: "Dean wants to go back home to and we are not going to stand in his way.

"He moved here but I think his heart was in Newcastle, so good luck to the lad and we wish him all the best."
