Nottingham Panthers' Guillaume Lepine has ban reduced

The Elite League have cut the penalty to Nottingham Panthers defenceman Guillaume Lepineto to one match, just a day after announcing a four-game ban.

Lepine, 23, was penalised in the 5-0 win over Hull Stingrays for a checking to the head incident and was handed a second four-game ban of the season.

But an automatic review of the incident has seen the penalty reduced to excessive roughness.

The French-Canadian will now just miss Saturday's away game against Braehead.

Lepine was handed a four-game ban in October after an incident in the defeat against Sheffield Steelers.
