Lepine joined the Panthers after a deal for Brock Wilson fell through
Nottingham Panthers have added imposing French-Canadian defenceman Guillaume Lepine to their roster for the 2010/11 Elite League season. The 23-year-old from Montreal joins the Panthers from East Coast side Elmira Jackals, where he played for two years. Coach Corey Neilson said: "I've spoken to this guy's previous coaches and they rate him as mean on the blue line." The Panthers moved for Lepine after American Brock Wilson opted against a move for personal reasons. But coach Neilson is delighted with the capture of Lepine: "He led the East Coast in fights two seasons ago and was second in fights last year. "He skates well and hits hard and like everyone on the roster this year, he wants to win and he sets his sights on playing solid good 'D'." Lepine is set to make his debut when the Panthers take on Belfast Giants at the NIC in Nottingham on 4 September.
