Nottingham Panthers will start the new Elite League season with a home match against Belfast Giants. The fixtures for the forthcoming campaign, which begins on 4 September, were released on Tuesday. Newly-formed Glasgow side Braehead Clan will be the second visitors to the National Ice Centre on 11 September. The Panthers travel to rivals Sheffield on Boxing Day ahead of a return fixture the next day and home games against Braehead and Dundee in the same week. Nottingham are in a Challenge Cup group with rivals Sheffield, Coventry and Cardiff. The league season will be rounded off with away trips to Cardiff, Newcastle and Hull.
