Swindon Wildcats coach Ryan Aldridge says his new roster is much stronger and has more character and leadership. Their English Premier League season starts with a game against Telford on Saturday at the Link Centre. He told BBC Wiltshire: "We've got a lot more toughness back in the side. It's a season that should hopefully change around for us. "If we work hard we should do really well this year. We want to be in the top three." Swindon only secured a play-off place in the final weekend of matches last season and Aldridge wants to see his side push further up the table. He said: "A lot of the guys have already won this league. We've built a different team from last year, we've got a lot more character, some stronger leaders and some stronger imports. "This year we've a deeper roster. We know we've got a team that's going to work hard." Aldridge has made several summer signings. Estonian import Toivo Suursoo could be key and will bring plenty of experience to Wiltshire and hopes are high for Jozef Liska, Jan Melichar and Jason Stone. "We've got more guys who can go on the ice which saves the other guys' energy," he said.
