Jason Stone, a defensive stalwart with Cardiff Devils for 21 years, is signing for Swindon Wildcats.

The Cardiff-born player, who made his senior debut aged just 15, has agreed terms to join Swindon for the forthcoming 2010-11 season.

Wildcats' head coach Ryan Aldridge is delighted with his latest acquisition.

"Jason has played at the highest level in this country for a long time, showing what a capable and committed team guy he is," he said.

"In joining us here at the Wildcats, he adds even more experience to our defensive core."

The signing of Stone is the latest piece of good news for Wildcats fans following the announcement that Lee Richardson, last season's captain, has re-signed for the team.
