Swindon Wildcats' play-off hopes were ended by a 5-2 loss to Guildford Flames in the English Premier League semi-final in Coventry. With the Wildcats trailing 3-0, Aaron Nell gave his side some hope, scoring twice in two minutes. But Guildford were in no mood to let their lead slip, Nathan Rempel and Rick Plant netting to clinch victory. Rempel had scored once already to given the Flames a seventh-minute lead before Gary Clarke netted twice.
