Swindon overcame a spirited challenge from Brentford to keep themselves in contention for automatic promotion.
Billy Paynter converted Danny Ward's left-wing cross to put the hosts ahead but David Hunt fired home from just inside the area to equalise.
Ward calmly shot past Wojciech Szczesny and Paynter headed in Frank Nouble's cross before Ben Strevens pulled one back for the visitors from close range.
However, the game was marred by an injury to Pim Balkestein near the end.
Swindon now go into a potential promotion decider at Millwall in their final game of the regular season next Saturday, with both clubs just a point behind second-placed Leeds.
Victory for either side would see them promoted if Leeds fail to win their home game against Bristol Rovers.
Brentford boss Andy Scott told BBC London 94.9:
"We made three poor errors, it was a carbon copy of what happened at Griffin Park.
"We've built our success on doing things right defensively and we didn't do that. They exploited what we should have been doing.
"We are running on empty, we are down to the bare bones."
