The Belfast Giants celebrate their victory with their fans

The Belfast Giants remain in title contention after beating Hull Stingrays 4-2 in Thursday night's Elite League clash at the Odyssey Arena.

The Stingrays went two goals in front, the first from a powerplay and the second from Konstantin Kalmikov.

Goals from Colin Shields, Graeme Walton, Craig Peacock and Tim Cook ensured victory for the Giants.

Steve Thornton's side now face a double bill of matches away to the Sheffield Steelers on Saturday and Sunday nights.
