Matsos is in his fourth year with Steelers |
Sheffield Steelers continue their search for a first win of the season with back-to-back games against the Belfast Giants. Head coach Dave Matsos told BBC Radio Sheffield that his side must be ready for a tough weekend. "There is no doubt in mind that teams emphasise the fact that we are the league champions and the team to beat. "They have recruited very well this summer and they have balanced the squad out from last season." Matsos maintains that the only way his side will have success this season is by playing strong defensive hockey. "That is our style to be defensive, we are going to have a lot of games this year where it is going to be offensive against defence," he said. "We will do our fair share of scoring, we have proven that with the likes of Joey Talbot and Jeff League still in the side. "We do emphasise a defensive style game because that is how I believe that we will win."
