Nottingham Panthers forwards Johan Molin and Brendan Cook have both decided not to return to the National Ice Centre next season.
Cook has taken a player/assistant job in North America and Molin has decided to stay in Sweden.
Coach Corey Neilson said: "Both players were wanted by us and both players knew we wanted them back.
"We respect their decisions and wish them all the luck in the world in the next chapters of their careers."
Molin spent two years at the National Ice Centre, scoring one of the goals as Panthers won the Challenge Cup in a two-legged final against Sheffield in 2008.
After signing from Manchester in 2007, he went on to find the net 58 times in 114 outings. With 63 assists he scored at over a point per game.
In his first season he formed a lethal partnership with Patrik Wallenberg and replicated that last year when teaming up with Dan Tessier and Marc Levers.
Cook spent just one season in Nottingham, ending as the club's leading goal and points scorer.
The Canadian notched 34 goals and 41 assists for 75 points, finishing joint sixth in the league's scoring charts.
Cook, who scored in the play-off semi-final against Coventry, will be remembered for special solo goals against Manchester in the play-offs and Coventry in the league.
