The Giants celebrate after scoring against Newcastle on Saturday night

The Belfast Giants completed an Elite League double over the Vipers with this win at the Odyssey on Saturday night.

Newcastle lost 4-1 on Friday night but former Belfast coach Ed Courtenay scored after seven minutes to put the vistors ahead.

The Giants hit back with goals from Dave Phillips and George Awada before Andre Payette equalised.

Evan Cheverie restored Belfast's lead and Malcolm McMillan netted with 18 seconds left to seal the points.
