George Awada scored the opening goal in Coventry

This Challenge Cup semi-final is finely poised after Wednesday night's first leg in England ended in a draw.

The Giants took the lead in the 25th minute when George Awada netted after assists from Bobby Robbins and Dave Phillips.

The Blaze levelled on 38 minutes when Adam Calder and Dan Carlson set up Greg Wood to score.

The second leg of the tie will be staged at Dundonald Ice Bowl on Wednesday 4 February.

Belfast will play back-to-back league games against Newcastle Vipers next weekend.
