Neilson has boosted his defence with the signing of Corey LeClair

Nottingham Panthers have signed defenceman Corey LeClair after he was released by Coventry.

He will not debut against his former club when the Panthers meet the Blaze on Saturday night, but will wait until Sunday's trip to Manchester.

Coach Corey Neilson said: "I liked the look of him when we played them. The thing is, it's tough to turn a stay-at-home mindset into a skilful player.

"But you can do it the other way around. He will give us some options."
