Richardson has scored 33 points in 33 games for the Panthers
Nottingham Panthers forward Bruce Richardson says his side are itching to face fierce rivals Coventry Blaze at the National Ice Centre on Saturday.
Panthers skated to a 4-0 victory in the Skydome two weeks ago after a war of words between coaches and players.
Richardson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Every time we play Coventry or Sheffield, it's a great rivalry.
"But if you talk bad about our team you'll be in trouble. That's the kind of team we are - we stick together."
And coach Corey Neilson added: "Our players are excited to be facing Coventry again.
"There is some bad blood but I'm sure it will be a great show. Let's fill our rink and do what we did there."
Just two points separate Nottingham in second and Coventry in third - although the Blaze have two games in hand.
Panthers have injury worries over Johan Molin and former Blaze defenceman Rumun Ndur.
There will be a first return to the National Ice Centre for former Panthers defenceman Jon Coleman, who won the Challenge Cup with the club last season.
"Coventry are playing unbelievably and they're a great team," said Richardson.
"But we have a great team and we're like brothers. Things are looking good and we're playing really well."
Panthers are also in action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Manchester.
Richardson said: "I think it's really important for us to keeping picking up two points. We have two great teams this weekend.
"With Manchester also in the top five, who knows what might happen?"
