One game at a time urges Bergin

Nottingham Panthers' forward Kevin Bergin is insisting the players are taking it one game at a time ahead of a crucial three weeks in their season.

Panthers travel to Belfast on Friday night, before hosting the same side at the National Ice Centre on Sunday.

They then face fellow high-flyers Sheffield and Coventry twice each over the festive period.

Bergin told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We've got to keep focused and take it game by game."

He added: "We can't look ahead at the schedule and think about the big games we've got coming up.

"Right now it's all about Friday night and then we look to Sunday. That's how we've got to take it, game by game, and every single game is important."

The last time the two sides met Belfast skated to a remarkable 7-6 victory. This despite Panthers coming from 4-1 and 6-2 down to tie the game at 6-6.

Bergin continued: "We owe them one for what happened at home last time we met.

"It's a big rink and we always seem to do good over there so I am looking forward to it."
