Phillips is starting his third season with the Steelers

Sheffield Steelers captain Jonathan Phillips insists winning the Elite League is his only aim this season and is not setting himself personal goals.

The 26-year-old scored the winner in the play-off final this year.

He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I've never been one to set myself goals, points or assists. The day I do will be when I don't score any.

"I just want to win the championship to be honest and if that happens you get your points by the end of the season."
