Aston says the players he is targeting are top quality

Sheffield Eagles chief executive Mark Aston has revealed that they are close to signing two Australians.

Aston told BBC Radio Sheffield that he expects the two potential arrivals to excite fans.

"We are very close to announcing what we believe will be two major signings from Australia," said Aston.

"These players are top quality. We are just waiting on one or two things to be cleared up but it will massive news for us," he added.
