Scott Williams has been rewarded for being named Telford Tigers' most improved player last season by signing for the first team.

The versatile 20-year-old said: "I can't wait for the new season to start. I hope I can make a big impact again, and I will try to do even better.

"It looks like we have a good team for September and we have to aim to make a winning start."

Williams impressed as a call-up last year when Tigers were hit by injuries.

Coach Claude Dumas added: "What I like about Scott is that he always works hard, takes his chances, has a real competitiveness, and is not afraid of anything."
