Leigh Jamieson has joined Coventry Blaze from Belfast Giants

Coventry Blaze's latest recruit Leigh Jamieson admits the chance to play for his Great Britain coach Paul Thompson was one he could not ignore.

Jamieson impressed in his performances for Team GB at last month's World Championships in Austria.

And the 22-year-old international told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "It was a big factor working with Thommo.

"This is a great place to play and I think he could really push me to improve my game."
