Coventry Blaze head coach Paul Thompson says he is proud of his players despite losing 2-0 to Sheffield Steelers in Sunday's Elite League play-off final.

Victory in Nottingham would have secured the treble for Blaze after securing both the league championship title and the British Knock-out Cup.

"I won't take anything away from what this team have done," Thompson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

"Not many people like us, that's because we're good at what we do."
