Beeston manager Graham Griffiths says his side need to finish what they started with a win in the Championship play-off final. The Nottinghamshire side had a comfortable 3-1 home win in the first round against Loughborough on Saturday. But Sunday's 2-1 semi-final win over Reading, who finished 13 points ahead of them in the league, surprised many. Griffiths told the club website: "We have cleared a huge hurdle. Now we need to re-focus and finish the job." Griffiths said he was happy to stay in the hunt for a place in next season's European Hockey League. He said: "This was a massive weekend for the club. "The squad have played in Paris and Rotterdam this season and they desperately wanted to be back in with the big European clubs next season." The club now face East Grinstead in the Championship final on Monday.
