Herbert has played for England 47 times

Jersey hockey player Beckie Herbert is part of the England team competing in this week's prestigious Champions Trophy in Australia.

The annual Champions Trophy tournament has the top six ranked teams in the world taking part, with England facing Olympic champions the Netherlands in their first match.

Herbert told BBC Jersey she thought it would be tough in Sydney.

"We are ranked below all the teams here so it should be pretty tough."

The England team faces tough opposition, taking on the Netherlands, Germany, China, Argentina and hosts Australia, but Herbert is happy to be there.

"I'm really excited to be here and pull on an England shirt and starting against the Netherlands who are Olympic champions, in terms of prestige it's certainly up there," she said.
