Jersey marksmen heading to Surrey

Faulds and Kerwood's guide to target shooting

The top marksmen from the Jersey Rifle Association are heading to Surrey next week to compete in the British Open Championships at Bisley Rifle Ranges.

The JRA are sending 28 members to the competition which runs from 14-25 July and has 1,275 competitors taking part from around the world.

Jersey's captain Bruce Horwood said: "We're all looking forward to the world-class competition.

"We have a smaller squad this year with experience and young talent."

Jersey has been highly successful in the sport recently, winning a gold at the Commonwealth Games, senior medals at World Championship events, and producing two U-21 World Champions.
