Phil Taylor produced a stunning performance to defeat Raymond van Barneveld 8-2 in the Premier League.

The 49-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent won eight consecutive legs after falling 2-0 behind early on in Exeter.

"I expected Raymond to click into gear, but when I went in front his head dropped," said Taylor, who has won his first four matches of the tournament.

Elsewhere, defending champion James Wade picked up his first point, drawing 7-7 with Stoke's Adrian Lewis.

Mervyn King picked up his third win of the campaign, beating Terry Jenkins 8-5, while Ronnie Baxter saw off the challenge of World Championship runner-up Simon Whitlock, eventually winning 8-6.

Taylor and King, the current top two in the table, meet at the MEN Arena in Manchester on 11 March.
