Manx downhill series starts with new Colden course

Russell Sansom
Riders will get two runs with the quickest counting

The opening round of the Manx Mountain Bike Club's downhill series will be held at Colden Plantation, near Injebreck resevoir on Sunday.

The first timed run will start at 1245 BST, with riders having two attempts, with the quickest being counted.

MMBC's Russell Sansom said: "The new Colden course is very quick and it's got all the usual routes, rocks and drops, with a few big jumps.

"It's taken a lot of time to build, so it will be good to finally race on it".

Sign on will be held between 0915 BST and 1000 BST.
