Ben Walden won the Guernsey Velo Club's 15-lap road race despite facing fog and heavy rainfall. Walden finished a lap ahead of his group on the short two-mile Pebble Bank circuit on Sunday. Dan Arblaster took the sprint for second from James McLaughlin with Walden already changed and dry, having won by four-and-a-half minutes. Aaron Bailey claimed fourth spot followed by Josh Gosselin, Leon Ogier, Philip Touzeau and Rob Smart. Ann Bowditch was the first woman in thirteenth and John Beck, who had been in second place for the majority of the race, came in at the back of the second group to finish in eighteenth place. John Dorey and Katrina Thompson completed the riders to finish, there were also seven riders who did not finish because of the poor conditions and punctures.
