Aaron Bailey won the Guernsey Velo Clubs 25-mile time trial but it was the junior riders who took the plaudits.

Wind and rain slowed the field of 22 but did not stop Bailey from clocking 56 minutes 20 seconds, the fastest time of the day.

Dan Arblaster and Callum Hill-Smith both set new records in their relevant age groups.

Arblaster finished second and bettered his own junior record while under-16 rider Callum Hill-Smith was seventh.

Bailey finished 24 seconds ahead of Dan Arblaster with veteran rider Terry Wright third in a time of 58.33 with Tony Bleasdale twenty seconds adrift.

Mike Dean came in fifth, finishing just over the hour mark followed by Chris Le Page, under-16 rider Callum Hill-Smith, Leon Ogier, Matt Osborn and veteran Tim Martin rounding off the top ten.
